I was thinking of writing a little satire news piece on gay Mormons holding a Gay Humility Parade, since we know that Mormons are supposed to avoid pride.
Chris, no matter how you feel about the overall topic, that is HILARIOUS – and more than just a bit profound.
Done with genuine mirth and good humor, I agree that such a spoof could be very funny! I’d just point out that “Gay Pride” celebrations really aren’t about being “prideful.” Rather, it’s about choosing not to be ashamed of who you are (even if you’re LDS and celibate! Heh!).
I’m all for good matured humor. I think we need to nourish more of it.
