BTW I Just checked alexa.com and MM (275,274) is now higher than T&S (300,900). moreover, the average read time is 10 mins. The difference a few months can make. ByCommonConsent has droped alot, but is still number 1 (239,269). Does anyone know how accurate the demographic info. given at the bottom is on Alexa.

Very interesting post! If you’ll allow of bit of shameless self promotion, I’d like point out that AllAboutMormons.com’s Alexa ranking is currently 335,842 (#3). AllAboutMormons.com is bigger in Spanish than in English, though. Perhaps you’ve intentionally limited your study to English blogs.

Sorry to be a downer, but alexa.com is not all that reliable. Less than 4,000 sites linking to lds.org? No way. Technorati (also not THAT reliable) says lds.org has 21,000 blog reactions. I think alexa’s measurements are based on who has an alexa toolbar installed.

But you’re still a big deal .

Thanks for this data; it’s very interesting. Certainly if you count number of posts and comments, BCC is #1 there too (although FMH is sometimes close). It would be interesting to see data from a few years ago when T&S was really big rather than just big, as it is now (at least in terms of writing output).

I don’t know if he qualifies as a ‘nacler or not, but Andrew of Irresistible (Dis)grace comes in at 450,777 with 34 link-ins and a whopping 17.3 minute average viewtime. (My own blog comes in at a more modest ranking of 2 million. )
