My favorite apostle passed away last night. His “orchestra” reference in General Conference in April was one of my favorites ever. He will be missed.

I love his last talk, actually, and know a lot of people that did. I also loved his dry delivery of his sense of humor.
I too really loved his last talk. It was entertaining and heart-warming. It was great.
He shook my hand after a stake conference and thanked me for helping to put away hundreds of metal folding chairs. It was a classic Mormon moment.
My favorite Wirthlin memory?
Yesterday, when I read that he died. They should have retired him at least 5 years ago. It was cruel to force such an elderly man to work everyday.
I’m listening to the General Conference CDs, it gives a nuance to listening to him …
God be with him.
Prior to his calling as an apostle, Elder Wirthlin visited our mission. As AP, I had the honor of translating for his party. He was accompanied by his wife and daughter. At that time, as well as throughout his career, Elder Wirthlin lived in humility and expressed gratitude at every opportunity. He was a fine, gentle and caring man.
